What do I bring to the Table of Ministry? At the heart of our faith is our experience of God, an experience we are initiated into from the time of our Baptism and nurtured by family, by school and by our worshipping community. A worshipping community is both at the service of itself and the wider society through belonging, through vision, and through service. Each person called to worship is invited to belong, to develop vision and to serve, hence we are called “to ministry” in our local faith community. St. Peter’s Parish has a strong tradition of service in the Spirit of St. Vincent de Paul. This Sunday is an opportunity for us to appreciate the work of the varied effective ministries in our Parish and to acknowledge that collectively these ministries is an expression of the faith of the worshipping community for enhancing life both in the Parish and in our local area. Our ministries channel our gifts, mould them and creates an opportunity for each of us to bring about incremental change for the good of all. Which of these ministries will afford you the opportunity to enhance the life of our Parish and of our local area?
