Mysterious Beings!

You could look into someone’s eyes looking into your eyes looking into his or her eyes into infinity and yet never truly plumb the mystery of another human being. 

Imagine we knew God only as the “I am who I am” Being of the Hebrew scriptures, the eternal One who has power over my life and death. Imagine coming face to face with that mystery for the first time at the moment of death?

We are so privileged that Jesus spent a life-time revealing to us who God is. God is parent, offspring and the Love between them. That is the Trinity, three Persons, one God, engaging with each other, engaging with us.

The Greeks describe their activity as epichoresis, simply meaning a dance. (hence choreography!) Today God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit invites you and me to enter with joy and without fear into the rhythm of that eternal dance. In that dance the mystery of who God is,  and  who we are,  in relation to the other, disappears.  Our hearts leap into joyful prayer: Glory be………
