Mission Sunday: Go and Tell

Good news just can’t wait.  Good news puts a wind under your sails. “I’m bursting with excitement and I just can’t wait until I see you”  or “I can’t wait to see your face, when I tell you the great thing that has just happened to me” are just some of the phrases used when someone has good news to tell.

The Daughters of Charity have as their motto: Caritas Christi Crucifie Urget Nos: The love of Christ crucified leaves us no option.  If I could come to know a love that costs not less than
everything then I would want to tell the world also.

This is Mission Sunday and the theme is Go and Tell. Go and tell good news.

This week-end St. Peter’s is privileged to welcome back people of all ages who have been on short and long term mission all over the world.  They too can’t wait to tell us the news of all the love, faith and friendship they experienced. We call it reverse mission and
we thank God for the people who have sent them back to us renewed in faith and love.
