“Inn from the Cold” Church Heating Appeal – Target Reached !

Some of you may have noticed that our "Inn from the Cold" Heating fund sign outside the church has been updated to read - Target Reached - €160,000 Thank you

Indeed we are delighted that we have reached the end of another funding project to enhance the fabric of this beautiful church. We especially wish to thank all in our parish community who contributed to the heating fund – the analysis below will give more details of how the money was raised with almost €40,000 from church collections and a staggering €52,500 from ongoing donations since the appeal started in May 2003.  Donations ranged from those who gave regular amounts through the monthly collection, to those who contributed in memory of a loved one who had died and those who made large donations up to €10,000.

We thank all those who supported our fundraising events, our Annual Golf Classics, our sign sponsors DG Motors, those who took part in the Mini Marathon, attended Concerts at Bank of Ireland or with the Ulysses Chamber Choir, and the Lindsay Singers.  All these efforts combined to complete this project within two and a half years. We take this opportunity to thank you for joining with us in meeting this challenge to maintain St. Peter’s as a place of welcome and warmth for all - ‘Inn from the Cold’.
