World Day of Prayer
"Let
Everything That Has Breath Praise God"
This
year's International and Interdenominational World Day of Prayer will
take place here in St. Peter's Church, Phibsboro on Friday, 5th March
2010. Service begins at 3.30pm. Men and women welcome.
Remembrance Mass
The death of someone you love is always
traumatic. Their passing leaves a void in your life and home. We turn
to family and friends to console us in our grieving. We also turn to
God and his Word for consolation. We read in the Gospel Jesus’ great
promise “Trust in God still and trust in me. There are many rooms in my
Father’s house.”
As a community, we will gather to support each other and
turn to God in prayer for our deceased loved ones at our Remembrance
Mass. We invite you and your family to join with us on Thursday 13th
November at 7.30pm.

Micah Prayer
–
Every Tuesday
evening, 6:30pm, Conference Room 2
St. Peter’s, Phibsboro, Dublin 7. This time of prayer is an opportunity
to sit with Jesus, pour out your heart, and find yourself renewed by Him.
Micah has developed this very beautiful and unique style of prayer -
gentle, personal, peaceful. Many feel touched and at peace after this one
hour session. All young adults welcome.
Honouring St. Vincent dePaul
This year we celebrate the Feast of St.
Vincent on Saturday 27th September as usual. However on Sunday 28th
we are offering our 6.30 pm Mass of Thankgiving for our various members of
the Vincentian Family. We are privileged to have as our speaker, Ms.
Mairead Bushnell, National President of the Society of St. Vincent de
Paul. Our principal celebrant is Fr. Stephen Monaghan, CM, former
national chaplain to the Deaf community and parish priest with the
Travelling People. Stephen is now chaplain to the Micah young adult
community and Vincentian Lay Missionaries. We here in St. Peter's
have been privileged to provide a home and welcome to the many branches of
the Vincentian Family over the years. We would be pleased to have
you with us for our annual Mass of thanksgiving as we honour the memory of
St. Vincent.
