Vincentian Volunteer Programme 
A one year volunteer programme for young adults 18 - 30 years.   Volunteers live a simple lifestyle in community.  Spirituality and a work placement form an important part of the year. Volunteers, desire to find God in all things, especially in the most poor and marginalised members of Irish society.  There are projects available in Liverpool, Glasgow, London and Dublin.  Training is provided on the job and in five weekends during the year, teaching you about community, prayer and service.

Being a Vincentian Volunteer will offer you a Challenge to

  • Give one year
  • Work with people on the edge of society
  • Live simply with other volunteers
  • Put Christianity into practice


But you will gain

  • An opportunity to acquire new skills and gain work experience
  • Insight into issues of injustice, discrimination and poverty
  • Experience living with young people from different cultures

Placements in:  
Dublin, Glasgow, Liverpool,  London

Sample of the projects available:

Glasgow:
Three volunteers will live in a parish with easy access to the city centre and to other attractions in Scotland.  Work in the Lodging House Mission, a drop in for the hungry and homeless.  Barrowfield project for the deaf blind and work with refugees.
