Welcome Fr. Flanagan
We
extend a
Cead Mile Failte
to Fr. Eamonn Flanagan, CM., who has recently joined our community from
St. Vincent’s Parish in Cork.
Here he introduces
himself.......
I have
been appointed Curate in the Parish. Born in Co. Sligo, I come from
the Vincentian Parish, Sundays Well in Cork, where I spent the last 3
years. Before that I ministered for 7 years in St. Mary’s Parish,
Dunstable, England. Earlier I worked in secondary education, seminary
formation, missions, retreats and spiritual guidance. I have, therefore,
wide experience in youth work, the needs of lay people, and the concerns
of the poor.
In terms
of ministry, I have pastoral interests in all the people in parish life and
particular conviction on the values of family life and the necessity of
prayer and good guidance for people today.
To relax,
I’m interested in literature, poetry, music, and sport, and time with
friends and family, or (on longer breaks), walking in the mountains where I
like to pray and praise God in the works of creation. I look forward to
meeting you all.
Fr.
Eamonn Flanagan, CM.
