Mass of Welcome for those to be Baptised

At the Welcome Mass, the children to be baptised will be introduced to the community, have the naming ceremony and receive the first anointing before baptism.

The point of this ceremony is to involve the local community in the child’s baptism and allow them to pray for him or her as they prepare to be baptised on the following Sunday.
