R.C.I.A.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

Interested in becoming a Catholic? Not baptised?  Baptised but not evangelised? Baptised in another faith? In preparation for the next R.C.I.A. programme (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) meetings will begin shortly.  Contact the Parish Office to leave your name and details.

“The welcoming of people into the Catholic Church through what’s known as the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a growing process in our diocese,” said Fr Damian Mc Neice, RCIA contact person for the Archdiocese. “The parishes involved over the past number of years have found themselves greatly enriched by welcoming and accompanying people as they grow on their faith journey. Their wanting to become one of us challenges us to live our faith in a more authentic way. It challenges us too not to take what we have received for granted, and to always be parishes that welcome and form people in prayer, the Scriptures, ongoing faith formation and social caring.”

Vincentian Parish Missions
come see go and tell

A Vincentian Parish Mission helps to create a space and atmosphere where people can experience the saving and redemptive presence of Jesus Christ. Through Scripture, music, song and ritual and in vibrant preaching they are drawn more deeply into the mystery and beauty of God’s love. The challenge to change, to grow and reach out to others becomes very real and alive. Recognizing each parish is unique and has its own particular needs, we work with priests and pastoral councils to help discern the style and format of mission that works best for their parish.
